its a wip

this is the first scene

"Are you *always* staring into the sun?" a young boy— not giving any mind to a single thing else— ponders to his wise old friend with a serious tone. Almost as if caring and only with alot of thoughtfulness had asked the question. The sun on that day was glaring the clouds away, it was hot. The duck were quacking, swimming, and their ducklings were falling onto the soft grass. Timid weeds were peaking a little above the water. The water was shining off the light from the sun. Regardless of the humidity, it was a calm beautiful day.

The question being trailed into giggles. "You are!!" stretching out his words with laughter, the little lad continued to answer his own question, because the old lake wasn't going to. But it was a nice thought. And even if the lake was to answer the boy's questions— with not the sound of water nor a chilly breeze— what could be a question would he ask the wise old friend?

The little lad doesn't speak to trees, that would be silly of him. A tree wont reply nor would it probably understand him. But then again, the lake isn't replying either nor is it showing any sign of agreement or disagreement— likely because it can't understand as well. And still, he reaches his heart out to the lake. It brings him comfort, and a moment to think himself through.

The kind of kid you'd think of last talking to a lake, was the only one in the entire town talking to the lake. Keeping it the best company. Being around for its residents. The ducks, the frogs, the bugs and worms.

The lake's blue shine has always been attractive. May it be matter of fact, the lake is so blue and clear that it makes the sky pale and muddy in comparison. And the town the little lad was born in, is named after this lake. While the lake itself is named after a fisherman who made his people thrive, Oswald Palmer.

The town of Lake Palmer was a happy town. Smile on every face glowed onto the streets, making everything cheerful, understandable, and memorable. The town, big enough to get lost and small enough to know each pretty soul that made resident in their beautiful homes. East of the town, half a mile away, was the lake. Energy of the same goodness, the same adorable environment. Similar— if not better— to that of the town.

"Momma said you're dangerous.." the atmosphere startled itself, the young boy in a certain disappointment told the lake how vicious and ruthless it can be. "You're a big big lake and it is not very nice of me to be here alone. Momma said she wont let me come here alone. So.. I wont see you for a while." playing with the grass and keeping his head low, the boy took another breath looking into the lake.

The boy kept there a few more moments, asking one more question,
"Can I ask a question.. What would you do? —I guess you'd just sit here huh.. with your friends I hope."

Tanned a little, brown eyes that glowed hazel by the sunlight, and darker hair— the boy left he lake's side, carrying his daily journal and a knight chess piece in the pocket of his trousers. After standing up on the soft wild grass, as he looked up onto the path his younger brother had came to call him for their mother. Their mother will teach them about the ecology and animals of the lake!

in the next scene i will tell the boys name and stuff
